Aurivo host ‘Neighbourhood Lunchtime Mile’
as part National Workplace Wellbeing Day

Aurivo, the globally-focused Agribusiness which is headquartered in the North West of Ireland, hosted a ‘Lunchtime Mile’ in association with its 2019 charity partner Croí as part of National Workplace Wellbeing Day which took place on Friday 12th April.

National Workplace Wellbeing Day aims to improve employee health through promoting better physical activity and nutrition in the workplace. As part of this year’s activities, Aurivo organised a Lunchtime Mile for its employees and neighbouring businesses to take part in, welcoming all back to base for some lunch and healthy refreshments afterwards. Some of the participating businesses included Abbott, Amcor, GSK, IDA, Phillips-Medisize, Abtran and more, who all came out to support the business park event.

Speaking about the initiative, Marilyn Philips, Head of HR with Aurivo, said: “Aurivo takes great pride in bringing people together for a noteworthy cause, we were delighted to host the ‘Lunchtime Mile’ as part of the National Workplace Wellbeing Day in association with our 2019 charity partner Croí. Aurivo puts a huge focus on the individual and believes there is a positive link between employees’ health and wellbeing and company productivity. It was fantastic to see so many people from different businesses participating and more importantly enjoying themselves.“

Ireland’s national physical activity plan states that we should be doing 30 minutes of physical exercise per day and walking the lunchtime mile went a long way towards reaching that target. Post event after the successful walk down Finisklin road, Aurivo facilitated an informal networking lunch opportunity where people got to socialise over refreshments and learn about other businesses in the area.
